Find every place a note lives on the neck.
You get a note. Tap every position of it between the nut and the 12th fret, until you have them all. The other half of knowing the fretboard.
It works right here: no account, nothing to install.
Find the note
A note name appears. Tap every place it lives on the neck.
No clock, no end.
Until the first slip.
No clock, no end. Stop when you like.
This is one tool. Diesis keeps them all in one place. Every tool, your bests and your teacher's homework, kept for you.

What it does
Every position, not just one
In the first twelve frets of a six-string guitar each note lives in six, seven or eight places. The exercise ends when you have found them all.
Right stays, wrong tells you
A right tap stays green with the note's name. A wrong one flashes red and shows you which note that fret really is.
Every tap sounds
You hear the note you touched, right or wrong, so your ear learns along with your eyes.
With time, or with a challenge
Take your time and ask to be shown the ones you are missing, or go against the clock or without mistakes and keep your best.
How to use it
- 01
Read the note
A note name appears under the neck.
- 02
Tap every place it lives
All the strings, frets 0 to 12. Each one you find stays lit.
- 03
Finish it, then the next
When the last one is found another note comes up, never the same twice in a row.
Questions
How many times does each note appear on the fretboard?
In frets 0 to 12 of a six-string guitar in standard tuning, six to eight times: once on each string, plus the 12th fret of every string tuned to that note. E has the most, eight.
How is it different from Name the note?
It runs the other way. Name the note goes from a place to its name; this one goes from a name to its places. You need both to move around the neck freely.
What if I get stuck?
In Practice there is a Show me button: it lights the ones you are missing and moves on. Nothing counts against you there.
